Social Work Services

The Social worker is a member of the multidisciplinary professional team which develops and monitors the student's individual education plan.

Families are encouraged to speak with their social workers.  Social workers assist families with coordinating medical and educational services through the year.  Social workers provide information and parent education on various topics such as family support services, sibling care, and benefits (SSI, Care at Home, Medicaid).  The social work staff also lead parent support groups and provide individual and group counseling.  A new service, Medicaid Service Coordination, is offered to students in the Children's Learning Center who qualify.
